Employee Training and Education

Hannah Engineering Inc. is proud to be associated with North Shore Community College's Machining Technology program located in Beverly Ma. This Technical Certificate Program is designed to prepare students for careers in the precision metalworking trades. The machining and metalworking industry offers some of the best career opportunities available today. The jobs pay well and lifetime earnings for workers in this industry rank as high as many industrial professions.

There is a critical shortage of highly skilled workers in the industry today, providing immense career opportunities for ambitious students who apply themselves and become skilled craft persons in the tooling and precision machining industry.

Working with many local area shops as well as the local chapter of of the National Tooling and Machining Association (NTMA) and the E-Team Machinist Job Training Program to provide technical training in these areas. The program developed by the(NTMA) consists of three levels of competencies beginning at the apprenticeship level and moving up to a journeyman's level of competence. Each level of training is accompanied with competency based tasks that would meet standards equal to that of a machinist in the trade performing similar tasks.

The curriculum has 320 learning modules arranged in a concise manner to create an exceptional learning experience for students. The complete program is designed to meet industry skill standards.  and will prepare students for accreditation under level III of the (NIMS) the National Institute of Metalworking Skills performance standards.

  Machining Skills Level I

Represents competencies that can reasonably be expected of an individual with one year of experience in a good shop or apprentice program: namely basic competency with common machine tools and accessories, basic shop math, inspection techniques and basic ability to proceed with further, advanced training.

Machining Skills Level II

Introduction to more complex machining skills, along with CNC principles, angular measurements, and auxiliary equipment.

Machining Skills Level III

This level in general addresses the journeyman's competencies. Including proficiency with a wide range of machine tools, auxiliary equipment, compound angles, tasks planning and the ability to work with a minimal amount of supervision.
